So, I have decided to try the whole blogging thing to keep people up-to-date with pictures of our offspring! This is actually pretty technologically advanced for me, so please bear with me!
As many of you already know, Luke and I have been cooking up baby number two and many have been wondering if he would ever make an appearance (mostly his mother). Well, just like his sister, our newest arrival needed to receive his eviction notice via threat of labor induction to finally decide to make an appearance. We were scheduled to check into the hospital on January 25th at 8 am to have labor induced, but this kid had his own plans and I began having contractions at 1 am on the 25th. The contractions were 31/2 minutes apart by 2:30 am, so we decided to make our way to the hospital through the snow (yeah, no snow here until this kid decides to arrive!). We checked in at 4:10 am, the OB broke my water, and Max Alton Mulholland made his valiant arrival at 5:31 am! (Yep, quick just like his sister!) Weighing in at 7 pounds 11 ounces; measuring 20.5 inches long and with a very healthy APGAR score; we now have our baby boy!
Big sister Gracie is torn between thrilled that Max is here and being a 2 1/2 year old! She is a very good helper and loves to sit and touch "baby max" - she is already looking out for him and making sure that everyone is very gentle when holding or touching Max and keeping him warm by constantly putting blankets over his feet!
Life with two kids is definitely an adjustment, but I think it is going well. Max is working on sleeping well at night, he eats tons and is perfectly content just lying in your arms and looking at you or the world around him. We are enjoying our new life and know that the best is truly still to come!
Keep checking back, I will do my best to keep the blog updated with pics and stories as these two children grow and change! Best wishes to everyone!
Beautiful family Christina! Thanks for sharing your pics. I will keep checking back!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby, Christina! This blog thing really is a good way to keep people updated. Liz finds that it helps pass the time while breastfeeding
ReplyDeleteI need to come meet my great niece and nephew. Perhaps after the wedding Ty and I could make a trip out there. He also has a cousin in Denver who just announced her first pregnancy. There will be babies everywhere. It will be great.
